New Volunteering Opportunities with Healthwatch Bath and North East Somerset
Healthwatch is the new way for local people to have a real say in improving and changing local health and social care services.  Healthwatch Banes is now actively seeking volunteers from across the area to fulfil a number of different roles: championing the views of local community or health interest groups; representing Healthwatch on local health and social care related boards and committees; taking part in ‘enter and view’ visits to health and social care services. Previous experience is not essential as full training is given but for those with an interest in health and social care issues, becoming a Healthwatch volunteer offers the ideal opportunity to help others have a voice, meet people, gain valuable experience and participate in their local community.

“We welcome volunteers of all ages and representative of all groups within our communities and are looking for a significant number of volunteers to help us fulfil the Healthwatch aims which focus on  giving local people a voice,” said  Pat Foster from the Care Forum, the organisation which is managing Healthwatch locally.
